On every first Friday of every month is a special programme hosts by Pastor E. A. Adeboye under the umbrella of The Redeemed Christian Church of God - the Ministry oversee by the same notable and humble man of God.
That President Jonathan attends Holy Ghost Service at Redemption Camp is no more a news but that he attended the February edition when election remains seven (7) days to kick off may generate different types of questions in the mind of individuals like 'why now that the election is fast approaching'? Why did he go when a member of the mission is also contesting? Did he really campaign?
Here is to bring to you some of the events that took place according to our correspondents who attended the programme.
Dressed in a light green flowing gown, the president said he was not there for political campaign but only wanted to thank members of the church for their prayers for Nigeria and also to encourage Nigerians.
“I am not here for Political campaign, but I have come here to encourage Nigerians. I also came to thank all the members of the Church for their prayers for Nigeria." President Jonathan said.
He later knelt as he was prayed for by Enoch Adeboye, the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, who asked for divine wisdom for the president in piloting the affairs of the country.
Our correspondent also reported that after the Prayer for President Jonathan, Pastor Adeboye preached and later called out to the alter all his children who are contesting for political office when Pastor (Prof.) Osinbajo also came out with others which made the whole congregates to scream in a loud voice.
President Jonathan also exchanged greetings with Osinbajo - the Buhhari running mate.
The programme later continued as usual till benediction was done which brought the service to a close.
Thanks to DaProf, Meebee and Nelson.
