I want to refer to the report you are about to read as SPECULATIONS or mere POSTULATE because, it is unofficial.
Mind you, in this period of electioneering and politicking, every bit of information counts and should not be discarded.
It was yesterday that Mr. Jega made a press release where he declared to the whole nation that election has been postponed by six weeks based on security operatives' requirement so as to forestall peace in few areas of the country where there is state unrest and not because PVC is not evenly distributed.
Read the report below;
#NigeriaDecides: INEC Chairman Prof. Attairu Jega may commence his terminal leave from February ending as his tenor ends on June 30th, 2015, in addition/contrary to the speculations circulating the social media that he'll be forced to resign. According to the information made available to folabright media by an anonymous said it is the practice of the commission for an outgoing INEC boss to proceed on terminal leave at least 6 months to the expiration of tenure.
“Federal Government is already on the lookout for Jega's replacement" the source said.
A civil servant who preferred not to be mentioned debunked the claim of 6 months terminal leave as reported above though INEC Chairmanship is a political appointment which may be tuned to the frequency of the incumbent.
Nigerians, be expecting the unexpected and unbelievable!
Like somebody says; the will of God shall be done on Nigeria.
