Breaking News: Boko Haram Strikes Again In Borno, 45 Feared Dead

Reports coming in Borno state is that the Boko Haram Insurgents have killed no fewer than 45 persons in a recent attack on Azaya Kura village of the state which occurred on Wednesday.

Premium Times report that the suspected Boko Haram terrorists attacked the village, located in Mafa local local government area of Borno State, at about noon that day.

The Insurgents who reportedly stormed the village in trucks attacked the residents, as they destroyed their houses, took along with them foodstuffs and livestock, residents lament.

Jabir Usman, a local farmer, who said he managed to escape the attack, told reporters in Maiduguri that aside the 45 persons feared dead, some others have also died in the bushes due to excessive bleeding after sustaining bullet injuries”.

There are also reports that some are still missing.

Shettima Lawan, who is the caretaker chairman of Mafa local government area, has lamented the havoc the Boko Haram sect have caused, as he called on the Federal Government to come to act fast and put to an end to the incessant attacks and killings.
Azaya Kura is 45 kilometres east of Maiduguri, Borno state.
