I don't like missing this man's speech - Fashola, I don't just know the reason. Read it here

The Lagos State government has rejected the 4.8 million announced as registered voters in the state by INEC. It however declared Friday, 7th November 2014, as a work-free day to enable civil servants check their names on the registration list and collect their Permanent Voters Cards (PVC).

Governor Babatunde Fashola made these declarations in a radio and television broadcast to the people.

At an interactive session with newsmen after the broadcast, Fashola said, “I am worried and have asked myself if this is the beginning of a plan to disenfranchise Lagosians or something sinister is in the offing?”

He said the figure of 4.8 million registered voters announced for Lagos by INEC is not acceptable. He added that, “INEC has to give answer to what happened to the 1,447,845 voters that disappeared on the voters list in our state within four years.

If they got it right in 2010/2011, what has happened now that resulted in the reduction? Let INEC respond to our questions. We are anxiously waiting for them to respond to our questions. By the time they respond, we may agree; we may disagree with their response. We may give them suggestions. That is what we are interested in now”.

God bless Mr. Fashola.
