Nigerian Messi, Ikechukwu Uche Tells Keshi To Beg Him Before He Will Play For Nigeria. In a Tweet yesterday by Coach Stephen Keshi who reportly said that Villarreal CF star, Ikechukwu Uche has declared that he won’t play for the Super Eagles unless Keshi and and other members of the coaching crew beg him.

It is however not clear why the footballer wants to be begged before he can play for the Super Eagles but its believed that his anger could be traced back to the World Cup qualifiers in Brazil. The Star was among those dropped by the Coach at the just concluded Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifiers.

“He was supposed to be part of the team that is presently in camp but he said we must beg him first to play for Nigeria because he was left out of some competitions but I can’t beg anyone to play for Nigeria, impossible. That’s why he is not here,” revealed the former Togo and Mali gaffer, Coach Steven Keshi

In the mean time, ahead of Saturday’s match against the Red Devils of Congo, Eagles are not taking any chances in spite of the harsh climate.

The Cross River State capital has been cats and dogs yet Eagles have demonstrated that they are capable to play despite the downpour. The are players  were spotted playing under the rain yesterday evening in the Canaan City.

Keshi and his technical crew and even the backroom staff were all out in the rain as the national team filed out with for evening training..

The last two players to arrive, Emmanuel Emenike of Fernabahce in Turkey and Inter Milan’s Joel Obi were in full flight signally a an enthralling encounter to expected on saturday.

However, Elkanemi goalie, David Obiaozor missed, authorities said he can come and still be part of the group as he is a material for what’s to come.

At the end of the rain-soaked training, Keshi again said he expects his wards to acquit themselves very well against the Red Devils of Congo.

The team has changed its training schedule from 4pm local time to 5pm, which is the time the continental soccer ruling body CAF, approved for the match on Saturday.
