Supporters of Rochas Okorocha for the forthcoming 2015 presidential elections on Wednesday, visited Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital to solicit the support of the All Progressives Congress leaders in the state.
According to report from The Punch, Rochas Okorocha 2015 Presidential Campaign Team led by the Imo State Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Ugochukwu Nwokoma, urged the Nasarawa party secretariat to intimate indigenes of the state of the presidential ambition of Okorocha.
He said, “We are in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital to tell the people of the state that Governor Okorocha believes so much in them. He believes so much in the governance of Nasarawa State. If you watch what is happening in Nasarawa State, it is like what is happening in Imo state.”
The chairman of the APC in the state, Mr. Phillip Shekwo, reiterated the party’s commitment to providing a level playing field for all aspirants in the party.
Shekwo, who praised Okorocha, said the APC was out to rescue Nigeria and could not fold its arms to see the country go down the drain.
He therefore promised Okorocha’s team of the support of the state chapter of the party.
