It has just been learnt that the wife of the late Dr. Iyke Enemuo, the specialist who treated an ECOWAS representative in Rivers State suspected to have the Ebola infection has been moved to the Ebola Isolation and treatment center in Lagos.
Following her spouse’s effort to treat Olu-Ibukun, who is accounted for to be the head of the ECOWAS Liaison Office in Lagos, the lady is indicating symptoms of the Ebola infection. Her three month-old child has been taken from her custody, though as of this time the child is reportedly not showing symptoms of the virus.
While a ministry representative affirmed that the late specialist’s wife was in the Lagos treatment center at Yaba, he didn’t reveal how she landed there from Rivers State.
The cases at the Infectious Diseases Hospital at Yaba now number two. She said
"My husband did not die of Ebola. As a matter of fact the hospital is still function well with patience in the various dept. No Ebola patient and have never witness one since the news of Ebola"
