Auwal Tukur, the son of former National chairman of PDP, Bamanga Tukur, has joined the race for PDP ticket for the forthcoming governorship by-election in Adamawa State.

Speaking at the formal declaration his intention to stand for election at  Makama B ward  in Yola South Local Government, Tukur said he had the potential and experience to bring development to the state, calling on the public to support his aspiration..
He expressed the need for the electorate to vote for politicians with integrity and proven record of public service so as to ensure the emergence of credible candidates that could work for the interest of the people.

In his remark, the Secretary of the PDP in Adamawa, Barister Tahir Shehu extolled the leadership qualities of Awwal and his immense contributions to PDP in the state, calling on  party members others to learn from him.

Shehu assured  PDP aspirants in the state of party’s commitment towards transparent and credible primaries to allow the voters choose a popular candidate for the party.
