Yobe State Police Command has arrested three suspected Boko Haram militants and recovered 95 cows, 105 goats at Garin Itace and Sindiri villages, Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe state.
Police Public Relation Officer, ASP Toyin Gbadegesin, told newsmen yesterday in Damaturu that the suspects were Boko Haram suspects that specialised on cattle rustling operating within Yobe and other neighbouring states.
According to him, the suspects rear and sell the animals on market days to raise money for the insurgents.
“Its through this rustling they use to realize money for their nefarious acts,”
He expressed regret that cattle rustling had became rampant adding that measures have been put in place end the manace.

The PPRO gave names of the trio suspects as: Garba Ari Angir, Grema Ari Angir and Hassan Hassan, adding that an English made Double barrel and Dane gun were also recovered from them.
